Pilbara (WA)
If your company is based in the city of Karratha, the town of Port Hedland or the Shire of East Pilbara, you can sponsor truck drivers.
Kimberley (WA)
If your company is based in the shires of Wyndham East-Kimberley, Broome, Halls Creek or Derby-West Kimberley you can sponsor truck drivers.
Western Australia
If your company is based in certain areas of Perth or any WA regional areas outside the other local DAMAs you can sponsor truck drivers.
South West (WA)
If your company is based in the Shires of Augusta-Margaret River, Boyup Brook, Bridgetown-Greenbushes, Capel, Collie, Dardanup, Donnybrook-Balingup, Harvey, Manjimup, Nannup, or the cities of Bunbury and Busselton, you can sponsor truck drivers.
The Goldfields (WA)
If your company is based in the city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder or the Shires of Coolgardie, Dundas, Esperance, Laverton, Leonora, Menzies or Ravensthorpe, you can sponsor truck drivers
South Australia Regional
If your company is based outside of the city of Adelaide, you can sponsor truck drivers.
Orana (NSW)
If your company is based in the regions of Orana, Central West, Murray, Riverina or Southern Inland, you can sponsor truck drivers.
Townsville (QLD)
If your company is based in the City of Townsville or Mount Isa, the Charters Towers RegionalCouncil, or in the Shires of Hinchinbrook, Burdekin, Cloncurry, McKinlay, Richmond or Flinders you can sponsor truck drivers.
Far North (QLD)
If your company is based in the regional councils of Cairns, Tablelands, Cassowary Coast, Cook Shire, Croydon Shire, Etheridge Shire, Torres Shire, Northern Peninsula Area (LGAs), and the Weipa Town Authority area, or in the postcode areas of 4852, 4854-4861, 4865, 4868-4888, and 4895, or the Shires of Douglas, Mareeba you can sponsor truck drivers.
Goulburn Valley (VIC)
If your company is based in the greater Shepparton, Campaspe or Moira Shire regions you can sponsor truck drivers.
Great South Coast (VIC)
If your company is based in the Local Government areas of Glenelg Shire, Southern Grampians Shire, Moyne Shire, Corangamite Shire, Colac-Otway Shire and Warrnambool City Council, you can sponsor truck drivers.
Northern Territory
If your company is based anywhere in the Northern Territory you can sponsor truck drivers.
Steps
You need to become a Business Sponsor and join your DAMA agreement. You can take care of this 3-step process involving some bureaucracy, or have Soft Landing Migrations, our migration expert, do it for you for approximately $5,000. The price to join a DAMA is around $1,000, and an extra fee per sponsored worker per year of about $1,500.
Your chosen driver can apply for a 482 visa (Skills in Demand visa) or a 494 visa (Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional) and get a 5-year contract.
